What a great hotel! Wonderful views from high floors, very clean, modern, with decent dining options on premises, good security. Walkable to many locations, including the aquarium and the coke museum. Had a minor issue with the bathroom, which was promptly addressed by maintenance. Highly recommended. I also love the app with which you can check in and out without involving reception altogether. You get the key embedded issued to your phone and you can open your room with your phone. How cool is that?
We decided to stay at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and it was a great decision. You don’t have a choice but to pay for valet parking but it was worth it, and from the time we pulled in everyone was super helpful. While we were checking in, the two people at the counter were super sweet, they even realized that we had booked an upgraded room and they decided to do the same for my parents so we would be beside each other, it was a smooth process. There were renovations going on but nothing was in our way, it was in a contained area and didn’t affect our stay. They had people who also helped direct us and others to help take our bags out of our cars and others to take our bags to our rooms. We barely had to lift a finger because they also unload the bags into the rooms! They do seem to also hold a lot of events but it was a big enough hotel that it never seemed crowded. We also didn’t have to worry about loud noise especially at night, it was very peaceful. The rooms were very spacious, clean and beautiful and we were glad we choose the skyline view! There’s also a river pool with fish in it that you can see from the glass elevator, a small store and Starbucks in the location, the room service was really good!!!!! A lot of stuff is also in walking distance if you don’t mind walking 15 min or less to different areas. The only issue that happened was that my parents tv didn’t work but they worked super fast to fix the issue and the trip still went according to plan! Overall, 10/10 would highly recommend!!!!!
I recently stayed at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and wanted to share my experience. First, I want to highlight that the staff were incredibly kind and respectful throughout my stay, and I truly appreciated their professionalism and patience. However, I did experience a few issues that made my stay less comfortable, especially as someone traveling alone. The first room I was given had several wet spots on the carpet that completely soaked my socks, along with odd red marks scattered throughout the room. I requested a new room, and the front desk was quick to accommodate me. Unfortunately, the second room appeared to still be occupied. The bed was unmade, there was a water bottle on the TV stand, and an iron was out. I immediately shut the door and returned to the front desk. The staff then upgraded me to a new room (which I really appreciated) but after the earlier mix-up, I couldn’t help but feel anxious for the rest of my stay, worrying that someone else might accidentally be given access to my room. On top of that, both nights I was woken up by emergency alarms, a loud beeping followed by a repeated announcement saying, “Can I have your attention please…” Each time it ended up being nothing, but being startled awake two nights in a row really disturbed my sleep and left me feeling exhausted for work the next morning. Overall, while the staff were wonderful and did their best to make things right, the experience left me feeling uneasy and sleep-deprived. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a much smoother and more secure experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as these are not minor inconveniences, they significantly impacted my ability to feel safe and get rest during my stay.
