Beautiful location, very functional for congress or other business meetings. The rooms are huge and clean. The breakfast has a wide range of options. Even for lunch and dinner there were vegan options, although the steak was delicious. Near the hotel there is an incredible park with wildlife and hiking areas.
The Atlantic Hotel in Essen is a clean and well-maintained property with a great breakfast selection and a stylish bar area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, a major downside was the parking situation. Unfortunately, parking cannot be reserved in advance, and upon arrival, we were told the on-site car park was full. This meant we had to park about 20 minutes walk away, which really undermines the convenience of choosing this hotel for its location. A more reliable parking solution would greatly improve the overall experience.
Only 2 minutes walk to Messe Essen. We stayed for one night only, probably priciest hotel in the area. Everything looks nice and clean and staff if really helpfull. We had a room o the 2nd flor, almost direcly above the entrance to the hotel. Bad placement as below our window people stopd smoling and talking and sounded like they were in our room. We could also hear if some one was walking in the room directly above us ans if next door guest was closing doors. There was also a strange sound coming from the bathroom all night. Not very soundproof. Bead was nice and we had a relatively good nights sleep. At 11:30 in the morning of checkout (checkout at 12:00) roomservice/cleaning entered our room without even knocking. Thankfully we were dressed and decent. I complained about this at the front desk and got a rather small apologise. Do not get me wrong. Hotel was nice but you expect more when the price is as high as it was, around EUR 340 per night, breakfast included. The breakfast was quite nice although te English breakfast was pretty bland. We tried the restaurant also, for the branded burger with fries. Top notch, very nice and the restaurant service was good.
