Atlantic Grand Hotel Travemünde

GRAND HOTEL ATLANTIC promises a big experience by a big name. The location, right between the Travemünde-Strand railway station and the Travemünde Baltic Sea sand beach is certainly and without any doubt splendid. Friday is BBQ day. However, this hotel seems to be significantly overpriced asking around 300 EUR for a room which could easily go for a good 4 star hotel. Another flip side of the claim by name of 5 star standards is the rather average service quality. German workers hardly spell "Dienstleistung" correctly these days, perhaps. A nice place to stay, but not a must

Impossible to sleep in the morning Woke up at 5am cause no efficient curtain or way to protect from day light... Very disappointing Also had a room close to lift. So noisy had to change room. Very bas sound isolation

We visited Travemunde for 5 days (sail week). I was really disappointed by the service in the hotel. We stayed in a studio, which is above a bakery. The smell of the bakery started at 5am… for the rest of the day. It is very expensive but the service is bad. I asked for new bathroom towels after 4 days but they told me that new towels were not included since it is an appartment. But no laundry machine in the appartment… for a 5stars hotel, it is disappointing to see your request for new towels simply denied. People at the reception are not friendly and do not speak English.
