Atlantida Boutique Hotel

Very friendly staff, nice swimming pool, good food. Nobody informed me that on top of parking fee, charging of an electric car is charged extra. I charged a plug-in hybrid and a hour and a half charging cost me 12 eur, this is like if the fuel consumption is 24l/100km. You are pushed to order bottled still water in a country rich with water. You can not get a small glass of normal tap water with a glass of red wine that costs 6,5 eur or a with a cup of coffee. Why???

Cold room, bathroom with aggressive neon lights, bathtub full of hair and anyway they don't provide any bath salts so it's hard to imagine that one would enjoy it. Fine but definitely not a 5 star hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was very disappointing. It was our worst hotel experience in Slovenia, even though it was the most expensive. On the positive side, food is normally quite good, and the bedroom is comfortable. But we were soooo far from the 5 star experience. - We asked to book a parking space during our reservation and they replied, they they would "write down that we need a parking space". However, when we arrived they had no space for us. The parking of the hotel was full so they sent us to park in another parking lot, which was not so close to the hotel. We discovered later there was a free parking lot closer by. They did not even mention this option. - On the first evening (saturday evening), our dinner was excelent and the service outstanding. However, after dinner, there was a huge party/concert outside the hotel and it was impossible to sleep. It finished at 4 AM. I called the reception earlier in the eveninig to ask what time the party would finish, because the noise was crazy but they did not pick up and they never called back. - The experience in the restaurant just went downhill from sunday. There is the (theoretically sound) policy that during the meal, we keep our interactions with the same waiter. On sunday evening, after a waitress brought us the menus, she went to prepare a special dish live at another table. She stayed there for more than 20 minutes and no one else would come to take our orer. We asked another waiter to take our order and he said he could not do it. Only after seeing us desperate (we had 2 kids with us) they took our order, more than 30 mins after we arrived at the restaurant. - During the last breakfast, the coffee machine crashed, which is fine. They had to restart it, which took quite a while, which is fine as well. What is not fine is that the same waitress that left us hanging on sunday started serving coffee to a table next to ours. When I asked if I could have some coffee as well (while the machine was not working), she told me to go get it from the bar outside the restaurant. I dont understand why we had such a terrible treatment, since we paid for the 5 stars service, as everyone one else. - Finally, both times we had our room cleaned, the cleaning staff left the door open (anyone could walk in without key, just by pushing the door). I do not recommend this hotel.
