Atlantida Mar Hotel

Very nice hotel. Nominal fee to upgrade the room enabled us a very early check in. Breakfast staff was very friendly. Front desk staff was great and very helpful…Natasha was exceptionally friendly and helpful, a real asset to the hotel. The pool was great, hot tub was out of order unfortunately, and sauna was not very hot.

Beautiful view from the room on ocean and harbor. Close to city center and restaurants. Swimming pool is a kids paradise, so very noisy. Hot tub is not working for several months or years but still advertised on the web site. Breakfast has wide choice but quality is not very high and a bit boring. Processed meat and no fresh whole grain bread. Good coffee from cups. Sauna is dark and moldy and takes long time to warm up. Glass timer and lights were broken and heater is not well protected against burns. Bedlamp not working and not repaired after complaining. No coffee maker in room. Instant coffee was not refilled after first day. This was probably once a real four star hotel but seems to be degraded by poor management or cost cutting. Disappointing compared to other places we stayed in same price range.

There was a leakage in the bathroom for 2 days. Water dripping down the ceiling from the neighbours upstairs. No compensation whatsoever. It took the first employee 15 minutes to apologize after I told her what was happening. The cleaning staff on the other hand was super friendly. The breakfast was nice too. The jacuzzi wasn't working properly. It didn't heat up. But we couldn't use it anyway because people where working on it's roof for 2 days straight with drills, saws etc. No four star experience there either. Overall hospitality was lacking. I wouldn't recommend.
