I was satisfied with size of the room and cleanliness. The main reception hall is big and elegant. Everywhere is well cleaned and tidy. The restaurant is average, I had access to both breakfast and dinner buffet and lunch a la carte service. Food was average, as already mentioned, one of the waiters was very nice and funny. Reception service is good, they changed my room quickly when I had a technical problem in the bathroom during one of the days of my stay. Distance from the Medina is 10 min by taxi (8 euro price).
Some of the staff are friendly, some just don't know what customer service is. The rooms are decent, with good showers, and the location of the hotel is good too. The pool is also nice and of a good size. What lets this hotel down a lot is the food at the buffet restaurant. No variety...same thing every day. It's ok for the huge groups that come in coaches to stay for one night before being transferred to the airport. For someone staying 3 nights or more, it gets really boring. What got to me however was the orange juice they offered at breakfast. This was more like a powdered mixture from a machine which dispensed an orange colour semi-fizzy drink...awful. This was insulting for a hotel in the city of oranges and in a country known for its beautiful oranges. A real shame 👎 If you're not going to use the buffet nor stay for too long, this hotel could be ideal.
Nice looking hotel and the breakfast was good but it is not hygienic, we found hair in our beds, the bedroom and bathrooms, we even found a lizard in one of the rooms and the room service handled the situation terribly. We got different rooms and the attendant aggressively changed the sheets while we were there to show that they were clean. This is not the way that a service industry should treat customers and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I ever had.
