Atlas Essaouira Hotel is truly one of the finest hotels I’ve stayed at in Essaouira. I visited specifically to test the quality and services for my clients, and I was genuinely impressed on all levels. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive—demonstrating the kind of hospitality that sets a high standard. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, offering comfort and relaxation with a touch of elegance. The hotel's facilities, including the restaurant, spa, and common areas, were all well-maintained and delivered an experience worthy of a premium stay. We stayed at Atlas Essaouira Spa Resort and while the location is excellent, the hotel did not meet basic 5-star expectations. Positives - Very good location near the beach and town. - Staff were friendly and tried to help (notably Amine at reception). - The hotel is not on a private beach as advertised — a public road separates the property from the shore. - Air conditioning did not work in our rooms. We were moved once, but the replacement room also had vents blowing only ambient-temperature air. We had to keep windows open to get any relief. Numerous TripAdvisor reviews report the same issue, suggesting it is ongoing. - Rooms and bathrooms need refurbishment: extensive mould in baths, peeling paint over baths (appears repainted rather than replaced), damaged lampshades, and poorly maintained toiletries (soap dispensers were diluted with water). - On arrival two of our rooms had no bottled water; after repeated requests only one room was supplied, so we had to buy our own. - Complimentary tea/coffee supplies were appreciated but not replenished daily as expected. - Management/GM availability was unacceptable — we were promised a meeting that never happened and had to deal with the receptionist. For serious problems (aircon, maintenance), the GM should be present and accountable. Conclusion The hotel has real potential because of its location, but poor maintenance and weak management make it feel like a 3-star property sold at 5-star prices. Recommend booking elsewhere until the hotel addresses the air-conditioning and refurbishment issues.

We were supposed to get our room at 3:00 PM, but even after waiting until 5:00 PM it was still not ready. I requested a baby bed at 4:00 PM, and it was not delivered until 8:30 PM. The room itself does not meet the standard of a 5-star hotel, and the service was also far from 5-star quality. Very disappointing experience.
