Atoles Retreat

Amazing small und luxurious the hotel in Imerovigli with beautiful caldera sunset view. We had a really great time at Atoles Retreat and we want to especially give a compliment the whole staff there: from the very friendly and helpful receptionist to the cleaning and service personal: they all did an amazing job. We started in the Grace Suite which is really nice but a little bit small for our taste and then moved to the Infinity Suite with Plunge Pool and Caldera View: this room is truly amazing and one of the best we have been to. Big plus for me: the pools are well heated, so you can enjoy them also at night time. To sum it up: we really enjoyed our stay there an can recommend this hotel!

We had an exceptional stay at the Atoles Retreat this past weekend. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and provided lots of suggestions on things to do and see in Santorini. The first day was very windy, cloudy, and cold, so we were limited with what we could do, but Atoles made several suggestions for alternate plans like in room massages, and great restaurants to enjoy a nice meal. An amazing, extensive breakfast was included every morning, and you have your choice of 8 different options (vegan and vegetarian as well), along with yogurt bowls, pastries, coffee and orange juice. We also had a perfect view of the sunset from our room, so we opted to watch it from our plunge pool a couple of nights after long days of exploring. Would highly recommend this hotel, and we hope to return again soon!

It took a long time to find a cozy place in Santorini that combined a private pool with breathtaking sunset and Caldera views. I was just about to book somewhere else when I stumbled upon this gorgeous retreat—and I'm so glad I did. I’m the kind of person who wants every vacation to be perfect, and thanks to this incredible place, it truly was. I always read reviews with a grain of salt—but trust me on this one: every glowing comment you’ve read is absolutely true, and I hope mine adds to that excitement. From the moment we booked, we were met with genuine care and attention from our wonderful host, Neil. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—so much so that we joked he felt like part of the family. We were picked up early from the airport and, to our surprise, didn’t have to wait until the usual check-in time. Our suite was ready by 10:00 AM. Now, about the retreat itself... oh my God! Whatever you’ve seen in photos—multiply it by 100. It’s even more stunning in person. One of our biggest concerns in Santorini was privacy. Many properties sit right along narrow public walkways, so people pass directly in front of terraces and pools. Not here. Atoles Retreat is wonderfully secluded, offering peace, calm, and uninterrupted views. Our suite was at the very bottom of the property, which turned out to be the most private. We had front-row seats to the Caldera and the most mesmerizing sunsets—literally watching the sun dip into the middle of our private pool. We experienced the sunset from boats, restaurants, and hilltops... but nothing compared to watching it from this retreat. Breakfast was another daily highlight. Each morning we chose from a generous menu, picked our preferred time, and it was delivered right to our terrace—punctual and beautifully presented. We’d sit there soaking in the views, the sea breeze, the peaceful vibe, and of course, our morning dip in the pool. And again, a special mention for Neil. His kindness, helpfulness, and constant availability made a huge difference. He shared local tips, helped with bookings and restaurant choices, and was always just a WhatsApp away. The personal attention we received here is something you rarely find at big resorts. If I return to Santorini, there’s no question—I’ll stay here again. It’s like finding your favorite restaurant—you go back because you know everything is just right. That’s exactly how we felt at Atoles Retreat.
