Atrium Mountain View

The hotel has a great location, right at the start of Polistoaca Promenade, great for walks or exercising. Even if it's older it's very clean and maintenaned. Staff is friendly and helpful, sauna is great (25RON per person), very hot which is perfect. There is a great view, you have lots of options for breakfast. Walls are a bit thin and balconies aren't really separated, only a small fence between apartments. So if you have loud neighbours, you will hear their conversations. Fridge wasn't really working, but it was sufficiently cold outside for the balcony to act like a makeshift fridge. Last by not least, the hotel is like a small zoo: parrots, cats, turtles, emus and even a poney, I imagine that should be great for children. All in all, the hotel brings really great value for the money, and I'll visit again.

The only good thing about this hotel is the view (it is absolutely breathtaking). This is not a 4 star hotel by any standards. The fact that they acquired 4 stars from some public entity (I imagine) is deeply disturbing, because this means that they are allowed to charge more. I think that this situation should be the object of some sort of quality control as this has implications on both the area and the customers that expect 4 star services. The persons from the reception area were pleasant and polite but this is not enough for charging 650 RON for 2 nights. The problems that I have encountered here are the following: - damage furniture (armchair); - the lady from the reception couldn't find the key of my room's security box; - I have asked for a bottle of water in the minibar (that was missing when I arrived) that never arrived; - the waiter from the hotel's restaurant was preparing my order (2 glasses of wine and an aubergines salad) after 45 minutes - considering the fact that my order was very simple and I have politely asked him a few times about my order when I noticed that people that arrived in the restaurant after me received their food before me. All in all, if you plan to stay at this hotel you are paying for the view.

This is NOT a 4 stars hotel! There were so many wrong things with this place that I don't know where to start! No TV service, no Internet service, coffee cups dirty, bed side lamps needed extra power cords to be plugged in, personnel was nice but lacked any knowledge to fix any problem. We were charged 700 RON for two nights, which is I believe around 175 euros. Totally unjustified! We saw 3 stars hotels much cleaner and welcoming. We didn't have the courage to try having breakfast, the reviews on Trip Advisor being horrible, stale food, saved from the previous day. The road to get to the hotel was in repairs. The only memorable thing was the view which is beautiful. In summary, if you want to go there, think twice because you are getting at most 2 star amenities It is a shame these people are allowed to advertise as 4 stars!
