Such a cool place to stay, the rooms are awesome and quirky and the showers are so good just like a massage, we visited in winter so didn't get to use the pool but we did play the free snooker table and free space invaders game and noughts and crosses. We are definately planning another weekend here and will attend the drive in next door next time. Check out is 11am which is great.
You get what you pay for. There wasn’t a WOW factor, but it was an okay spot to rest during our mini holiday in Sydney. The highlight for us was the pool — the kids absolutely loved it, which made it worthwhile seeing them have fun. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t anything special. What significantly impacted our overall experience was the level of customer service provided by the staff. Upon arrival, there were three staff members behind the front desk who failed to acknowledge me. It wasn’t until I approached them and asked about the check-in process that one of them simply pointed to the self-service kiosk without offering any further assistance, then returned to their previous tasks. After checking in, I retrieved my luggage from the car and had to navigate my way to the room without any guidance regarding the location or level. Throughout our stay, interactions with staff continued to be disappointing. Requests for assistance were met with a noticeably indifferent attitude, giving the impression that our inquiries were an inconvenience. Had the staff been more approachable and welcoming, it could have greatly improved our perception of the establishment and made our stay more enjoyable. As the frontline representatives of the business, the staff play a vital role in shaping guest experience — unfortunately, in this case, the service fell well short of expectations.
Unfortunately, our experience was let down at checkout. We had paid for the breakfast package, and on Saturday morning we were told breakfast was served until 10:00 am. However, when we went down to the restaurant at around 9:30 am, we were informed they had closed early because it was quiet and most of the staff were clocking out at 10:00 am. There was no subject to change on timing for breakfast. The lady at the reception even agreed that they should have called our room to notify us. Instead of offering any form of refund for the breakfast we had already paid for, we were only given coffee which was another let down. This was very disappointing, considering we had an 8-hour drive ahead of us. We also had a cold welcome from the lady at reception during check-in. She seemed unbothered and rushed when we enquired about parking. And lastly where shall I begin about room service,we ordered room service only for our food to arrive in a dirty, black food tray and to be hit with a $76 room service fee on check-out. There's also not many food options on the menu,so come prepared.
