Beautiful little boutique hotel in Hermanus... Nice little touches in the rooms and a very nice breakfast restaurant next door owned by the same people. Our room had a problem with hot water that they addressed fairly quickly, thanks to Loerie at the front desk.

The Auberge Burgundy Hotel in Hermanus is a stunning seaside retreat, perfectly situated on the shore with breathtaking views of the mountains and bay. The hotel offers a wide selection of fantastic restaurants nearby, and the breakfast served at the hotel is truly a highlight. The rooms are tastefully designed, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. What truly sets the Auberge Burgundy apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality. From Connor’s warm welcome during the day to Jason’s caring presence at night, making guests feel safe and well taken care of, the staff’s dedication shines through. Jason, in particular, is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and always goes above and beyond. It’s safe to say that after such a memorable experience, I am already looking forward to my third visit. Thank you for making this one of my favorite stays!

My family and I stayed here from the 15-22 April 2025. There’s just a few issues to be addressed under the owners attention. 1. The beds were a bit finished in our 2 garden suites of room 2 and 3, and the cushions were not so great either. You need better beds and cushions. As seen on the pictures attached. 2. As for the breakfast at the restaurant- it was nice the first 2 days of our stay from the 16 and 17 but from the 18,19,20,21,22 April the kitchen staff battled to prepare a decent omelette and a fried egg. Your scones were a bit dry and it must be made with the same ingredients as the pancakes. Your pancakes are a bit too thick and they should’ve been thinner and not made with Mezina flour but normal cake flour and Buttermilk to make them a bit lighter and fluffier. The pastries and fruit salad with muesli is delicious. It’s a pity that the fresh mini croissants aren’t kept a bit warmer in the mornings. 3. The sourdough and health bread in the mornings isn’t great and you should really get som ciabatta bread instead for everyone. 4. The toilet in room 2 is higher than in room 3. You can really get a little bigger tv’s for the rooms that’s not as big as a computer monitor. 5. Your bedside tables needs to be replaced with better ones that are flatter as well as the table in front of the tv cabinet. It’s too wonky for glasses. 6. Your shower in room 3 doesn’t have an edge on the side so that the water can run back into the shower and not all over the floor. I hope the owner is reading this and will be attending to these problems and maybe it will be better than the last time.
