Amazing place for a family vacation! The location is everything! The view of the lake from our balcony was perfect. The beach is clean and beautiful. There's never a dull moment, with plenty of activities, boats, fishing, indoor and outdoor pools, and more! It's our favorite place to get away in the summer!

The service and ambiance were amazing. The space was clean and beautiful, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and acceptable, but our dog-friendly room was very, very poorly soundproofed. We could hear everything happening in the hallways and every time someone opened the building or hallway doors. It felt as though the walls were made of paper, and we had to whisper inside our own room. Overall, it was a good stay, but we would have appreciated better soundproofing since we had trouble sleeping.

I booked a stay for myself, my wife, and our two young kids. The location, beach, and view were all very nice and the site is clean. However, the welcome we received wasn’t great. We noticed that just a day after we booked, the price had dropped by $100. We tried calling to request a price adjustment, but no one answered . When we arrived at the front desk, there was no accommodation, no price adjustment, and no offer to switch to a lake view either. (The hostel wasn’t full ) One point for improvement: when a guest ends up paying $100 more due to a price drop, and you’re not willing to offer any form of compensation, at the very least, don’t assign them a room that’s far from the beach and only accessible by stairs—especially when they have two young children with them. Aside from the situation at the front desk and the food being a bit pricey, the service was good … The shallow 1 foot deep water, which was clean and safe, was great for the kids. The views and the lakes are beautiful …Lac Taureau is truly a lovely place.
