Auckland City Hotel

Great hotel! Rooms are tidy and everything works well. Housekeeping is brilliant. Service is wonderful - everyone who works there is fantastic and very helpful. The only 'downside' of this hotel is the location as there's a few groups of people doing it tough on the streets directly outside the hotel. However, I had no issues with them throughout my stay. Something to keep in mind if safety is a big concern of yours - in my experience as a below-average-height, small-build, and barely 19, I didn't feel unsafe once I knew the area. The view was great and the room was well worth it for the price (~$89 per night).

Amazing hotel, tucked right in the heart of Auckland CBD, perfect central location, right down the street from numerous landmarks. The rooms were cosy and the front desk service was so polite. The restaurant downstairs was beautiful and the breakfast was divine. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. 5/5 stars.

This hotel is budget and is definitely that. However, it was clean and perfectly fine. Area is right opposite a mission so there were always a lot of homeless close to the hotel. Cheapest shower curtain and toilet paper I have ever experienced. One cleaner was terrific and the other seemed to be taking the easiest way to complete her work each day. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. Little coffee cafe is nice, restaurant not so much. So, that is why giving it all a 3 since it was average.
