Aura Hotel Barú

This hotel is the hidden gem of Baru. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, the service is excellent. Freddy is always available. The spa is delightful (massages were amazing!) and very fairly priced. The food is magnificent from breakfast to dinner. The drinks too! We spent our mini honeymoon here and will be coming back every year. 10/10

Beautiful place with nice pools and food. Beach was also pretty good. Service was ok, I wish they could ask us what else we want or whether we want some more drinks. This place is very isolated which means you can only stay there and you are fully dependent on the hotel. An Uber from the airport costs approximately 70€.

**Good Experience with a little “BUT”** Our stay at this charming boutique hotel offered many delightful moments. The property boasts a lovely pool and two beach access points, providing beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was enjoyable, and breakfast, in particular, was amazing, offering a magnificent view. We took a boat trip to Cholon Island, which was a lot of fun. The evenings were romantic and intimate, allowing my husband and me to stargaze in a tranquil setting. We were able to watch shooting stars. However, there were some aspects that did not meet our expectations. Upon arrival, we found that the room did not match the pictures we had seen online. Additionally, the manager seemed somewhat disorganized and was unable to locate our booking. We had to wait approximately 40 minutes for our room to be prepared, despite arriving after the check-in time. This gave us the impression that the hotel might have been overbooked, and our room was hastily arranged. We had hoped to make our wedding anniversary special, but this issue was quite disappointing. When we addressed our concerns with the manager, the only thing he said that that’s a standard room and there’s nothing he can do to accommodate us.
