Aura Hotel Times Square

I would love to stay at this hotel again whenever I visit NY and I highly recommend to others if you are on the fence! This hotel is in a nice central location to almost everything- Bryant Park, the NY library, Times Square, Central Park, and more! There is also a subway station right around the corner where you can easily hop on almost any train to take you uptown or downtown, which is a huge plus!! I got to the hotel early and the front desk agent at the time (I didn't catch her name) was very nice and accommodating. I booked the executive king room because it wasn't too much more money and it was more spacious. The room was very clean and large, and the air felt so good, especially since the particular time I went had record breaking heat in NY. The only thing that would've been nice to have is a mini fridge to put beverages or food in, but it truly wasn't the end of the world. I loved that the shower had a glass door instead of a curtain but it was interesting to only have half of the shower covered with a glass door. Regardless, it still did the job! There was no hot water on the first night, which wasn't bad, but thankfully it returned to normal the next day.

Hotel was really nice. The lobby area was very good. When we checked in, we were greeted by staff who were more than happy to take our luggage for the day while we explored and then came back and checked in. the building is in a great location, just off of Time Square which made it really accessible to get to key to key tourist spots. The rooms were fairly large considering the location . They were equipped with Molton brown amenities.

We needed to book a room on the same day. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay at Aura. The room was spotless, recently renovated, and incredibly comfortable. It was also very quiet, so I slept peacefully. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only criticisms: there were no cups, hangers or iron and the air conditioner was a bit loud. I highly recommend Aura because of location and value.
