The hotel location is perfect. Near the lake. We go sailing in the morning. The rooms are rustic, with a bed and a decorated mosquito net above, real wood parquet floors. Separate rooms, toilets and showers, amazing views from the balcony. Room service with extra effort. The reception and the staff are very dedicated and caring, The restaurant is excellent, and so is the food. This is a place where you will be pampered and made to feel welcome. There is probably a maintenance problem, probably because of the natural disaster situation, and there are not many visitors. I wish I could have stayed more than 2 nights.. and also enjoyed the swimming pool. The sunset is perfect. Thank for mr ye' linn
Fabulous stay at this resort, boat trip is a must. Lovely way to spend the day. Staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Rooms and resort is lovely if a little tired but the staff make up for it with their helpfulness!!
I was on a tour package, and was pleasantly surprised to get a suite with lovely lakeview (not sure if this is the only type of room they had, but it was good value for money for what I think was US$120 per night). It was spacious with tasteful decor, and felt like a villa. They also had little touches to make guests feel welcome (e.g. cold towel and welcome drink during check-in, and flower petals on the bed and in the bathtub and sink). My main gripe was that their generators were not able to ensure seamless supply of electricity during power cuts, and there were at least 3 instances of blackout which took more than a few minutes to recover during my short stay of slightly more than 12 hours. Also, the water heater wasn't able to keep up when I filled the bathtub, and I ended up with a tub of lukewarm water that had to be supplemented with boiling water from the kettle. The restaurant was excellent, with well-trained wait staff and good food (I would recommend the Inle style grilled stuffed tilapia, which is one of their signature dishes). The breakfast was also decent but for a hotel of such stature, the cooked options were surprisingly limited and did not feature any fresh meat (only processed meat like sausage & ham). They could also do with better coffee.
