Austin Marriott North

Nice hotel! We stayed here for a couple nights because we had a friends wedding in Cedar Park and then we had another friend’s baby shower in comfort so we were having a busy weekend but it was nice to stay here

Marriott customer for many years, first time reviewer. This hotel is in a great location. The staff is excellent and the rooms are quite nice. There’s plenty of free parking. It’s perfect for business meetings in North Austin. I’m a fan of Marriott and it is literally the only hotel chain I patronize. Requests. 1. Every property should have an outdoor area or at least a bench or two to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, read a book, etc. At the Austin Marriott North there is exactly one place to sit down outside of the hotel: A picnic table near the dumpster. 2. Please reconsider the policy of blasting pseudo pop music 24/7 in every public area of every Marriott property. Who thinks this is a good idea?

The hotel is old and in need of an upgrade. Specifically the rooms. The mattresses in our room did not fit the bed frames correctly and my family and I have the bruises and cuts on our shins to show it. There was only one working elevator because the other was being upgraded therefore we took the stairs most of our time there. No biggie we were on the second floor and of course opted to wait for the elevator when we arrived and departed because of our luggage. The staff was kind and we had a great time hanging out with the bartender the first evening we arrived. She was super helpful and hospitable. My issue with housekeeping, I noted in our reservation that there were three people staying in the two queen bed room I reserved, but they would only leave enough towels for two people. So annoying! We'd have to call or go down and ask for the additional set each day we returned to the room.
