AutoCamp Yosemite

Loved our stay at the Autocamp Yosemite location! We stayed in an airstream (which was a request of the kids - but one pro-tip, the fold out bed is really only big enough for one kiddo above the age of 8 - so pick up or bring a small air mattress if you have more than one kiddo and it will fit great - Walmart by the airport for $30). The queen bed in the bedroom was SO comfortable and left plenty of space to walk comfortably around the bed and store luggage. Great bathroom too. But what really sealed our stay - the staff at the Autocamp were incredible! They went out of their way to be helpful and engaging (including sitting patiently and listening to all of the stories our sons brought back at the end of the day - thank you Mitch!). The bar (beer and wine and maybe some liquor?) was top notch and had great happy hour prices. Small eats on hand there if you get hungry or don't want to venture out. Tons of outdoor games, pool, etc. - we just loved our stay. And very quiet at night. It is about 40 minutes from Yosemite entrance, so getting a car is a must.

Lovely place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It is around an hours drive to Yosemite which is worth knowing, but was no issue for us. We stayed in one of the tents - we were worried we'd made the wrong choice before we arrived but we need not have been! Everything we could have thought we'd need was provided, including A/C, fridge and cooking utensils (heads up - no forks) The showers in the clubhouse were nice, clean and had access to soaps, shampoo and a hair dryer. The toilets out by the tents again are very pleasant and much better than I'd anticipated. The reason for 4 stars... noise. It says in numerous places that there are quiet hours from 10pm but this did not seem to be enforced, with our neighbours playing loud music until gone midnight both nights. As people who were wanting to get up early to head to Yosemite and then driving 8hrs the following day, this was a disappointing. Ear plugs were essential for our second night to stand any chance of getting to sleep before the neighbours. I know we could have asked them to turn it down, but that's easier said than done when you're in the great outdoors and have already got ready for bed. Moreover, the 'customer' should be respecting the rules, not enforcing them - if no one is monitoring this, there might as well be no advertised quiet times. Overall we had a great stay, and I'd recommend to others but with the caveat of bringing ear plugs.

The service was awesome, and everyone was super friendly. The whole place is spotless. Some parts look nice, but others are more like mobile homes, packed in tight. Just so you know, it's not camping at all. Not even close. It's just a different kind of hotel, basically.
