The hotel was amazing!! Art and Michael were so sweet and brought up our bags to the room. The breakfast was amazing and an amazing view with the pool. The pull out couch in the room was shockingly very comfortable and had no problems sleeping on it! Lots of local food options around as well!!
I stayed at the Avalon for an event in Beverly Hills. Even though I had to book last minute, the hotel accommodated me perfectly. The entire staff is so lovely!! The gym is great with a Tonal, which I really enjoyed. Great bath products especially the body cream 🙏🏽 There was always someone at the front desk and I felt so taken care of. There are great suites with bathtubs and space for pre-event prep. Thank you Avalon for being a place of comfort in LA 🩵I will be back! If I could give more stars I would.
I stayed here for a business trip. The room was nicely decorated but it was a bit worn. I still felt safe and had a good stay over-all in the room. I don’t know why the isolation of the door and windows isn’t better though. You can hear a lot from the outside, which makes you feel like you’re sleeping outdoors occasionally, but this isn’t a problem just here in LA. The area is quite good and the breakfast/dinner food is quite good too, but the prices are very high. They claim that their amenity fees are “transparent” but I disagree. Certainly their $40 daily pool/gym fee makes no sense and even if it is stated on the page, you’ll have to solve a murder mystery to find it. Also there is a “wellness fee” to get healthcare for their serving staff, but why am I paying for their welfare? Unsure as a foreigner. I thought it was the employers job to take care of their employees. The staff are generally nice and friendly and helpful. It wasn’t the worst stay and it’s maybe worth it if your are struggling to find anything else but I wouldn’t come back for almost $400 a night.
