Aviator Hampshire

well located if you're flying from Farnborough Airport. close to M3. rooms are a good size. Bathroom is spacious and good rain shower. Only 1 towel given in a double room which was very strange. Friends who also stayed had the same - so this seemed like policy rather than an oversight. Service was mixed. The wait staff in the restaurant were great. The bar staff weren't always that attentive. Evening food was good. Breakfast was ok. Pastries and cold items were good. Cooked breakfast was buffet, grey sausages, overcooked scrambled eggs (in my opinion). In a cheaper hotel that's what you expect, but for Aviator prices I was disappointed with the offering.

Popped along here for a meal with buddies. Wonderful service and tasty food. But... Whilst the starter was great and the dessert delightful, It would have been lovely to have had a bit more veg on the main. Huge plate (beef blade) just looked a bit lonely without perhaps a couple of roasted carrots and a couple of parsnips just to be friendly.

I recently attended screen on the lawn here, the setting was lovely and overall it was an amazing evening. You do need to pay a service charge apparently for walking to the bar and ordering a drink that the bar staff need to pour. I questioned why I was charged differently from that advertised and I was told it was service charge.
