We’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday in beautiful Kefalonia, and this hotel truly made it unforgettable. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and spotless thanks to the excellent housekeeping team. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home from the start. The pool area is fantastic, well-kept, and even at full occupancy there was never any rush or competition for sunbeds. We were traveling with our five-year-old and felt completely at ease, as the layout is contained and safe, giving her the freedom to enjoy a bit of independence. The surrounding area is peaceful and charming. While the hotel is a little remote, there are some lovely tavernas within walking distance, and with a car you’ll find plenty more options nearby. A beautiful beach and a handy local supermarket are also just a short walk away. The pool bar is great —slightly on the pricey side, but the self-catering rooms give you flexibility to balance eating in with dining out. We loved our stay so much that we’ve already booked again for next year. This is the first time we’ve ever chosen to return to the same place for a holiday, which says it all!
We loved our first visit to Kefalonia. Avithos Resort was a great choice as everything was exceptional. Regret not eating at the resort on at least one evening but we decided to walk / drive to the nearby Taverners.
A serene stay with a bohemian touch—just watch out for the early morning enthusiasm! This hotel has a calm, bohemian vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The decor, the atmosphere, even the scent in the air—it’s all designed to help you unwind. The rooms are clean, thoughtfully styled, and make you feel like you’ve stepped into a peaceful little hideaway. That said, there are a few things to note. The bar is on the pricier side, especially for soft drinks. Honestly, you’d be better off popping around the corner to the nearby shop for your refreshments. Housekeeping? Let’s just say they’re very dedicated. So much so that the “Do Not Disturb” sign might as well be invisible. A few surprise entries left me feeling a little on edge in the mornings—but to be fair, their enthusiasm for cleanliness is unmatched. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay if you’re after a relaxing, aesthetic experience—just keep your morning routine flexible.
