'A Little Piece of Heaven'... My wife's description of these stunning apartments. We were greeted by Maria who had fantastic communication with us before and throughout our stay. We stayed in the Doris apartment which was absolutely perfect. A lovely bathroom, kitchen area, comfy bed and sofa, all of this led out to the private terrace that had the most breathtaking views over Makris Gialos beach (one of the best beaches on the island) where you could also see stunning sun sets. Avra Private Suites also has its own private pool which is always kept immaculate and has nice comfy sun loungers. Just a short walk down the steps to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and bars in Lassi. The place was kept immaculate throughout our stay by Adriana who would be in daily to change our towels, make our bed perfectly (even though we had already made it) and carry out a clean of the apartment. Then there is Mariela.. Wow, words cannot sum up this lady. She makes the most amazing home made breakfast banquets that were delivered fresh to our terrace every morning at a time suitable to us. Every morning was something different and there was so much of it... We didn't need to buy any lunch. If Mariela were to ever release her own recipe book, I certainly would buy it, everything was amazing. A big thank you to everyone for making this our best holiday - we will definitely be back!

Definitely 5/5 stars - I’d give more if I could. Incredible experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Location - it’s a 2-3 minute walk down to Makris Gialos Beach, which is an absolutely stunning beach. The view is also fantastic from the hotel. The garden is absolutely incredible - fig, pomegranate, lemon, lime trees, tomatoes, flowers, beautiful. It’s tough to find a better surrounding for any hotel anywhere. Breakfast - delicious and thoughtful - always prepared fresh that morning, with local recipes and every day it was a new salty, respectively a new sweet dish. Also served with coffee, bread, homemade jams etc. It was served outside of the room at a very nice table. Cleanliness - excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Everything was perfectly clean. Amenities - Very nice pool with lots of sun-beds (tip: very good, free alternative to the sun-beds down at the beach). Hospitality - Probably should’ve put this first - Maria, the owner, and the lovely ladies that prepared the breakfast and the rooms were incredible thorough our stay, always helpful, always kind. Can’t wait to visit again next year!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Everything. The place is beautiful and well maintained, and the breakfast was lovely. Staying at the property, I felt cozy and restful, which I didn’t feel staying at the resort next door because Avra was fully booked! The location is a 10 (trust me on this because I did the tour of whole of the island). The owner made the experience even better. She was very friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much. We hope to come back in a near future.
