Axel Hotel Madrid Adults Only

What a hotel! The facilities are top notch- my room was fantastic!!! The hotel is well restored but maintains the old world charm- my room was unique and one-of-a-kind. I was nervous about facing the street but it was very quiet and cozy with blackout curtains. The aircon was on high and needed on a hot day- worked a charm and made my sleep restful. The bathroom was great. The rooftop bar and pool are a nice sojourn from the day. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Although people I know have stayed in an Axel, this was my first stay. I found the front desk staff to be professional, friendly and welcoming. My room was fine for European standards and the bed/pillows were comfortable and quiet. The location was very good and I was able to walk every where. I can't comment on the restaurant food but the rooftop is lovely. My massage with Raul was perfect for my jet lag. I will stay at Axel again and highly recommend!

Good hotel, great location. Staff were also very helpful and welcoming. Really nice to stay in a hotel without children. Only issues are the sheets are quite old and the pool wasn’t available during our stay.
