Axiom Hotel

We didn’t stay here but my mother broke her foot yesterday and we needed to make a pit stop and rest. The staff here took care of us. Rogelio at reception got my mother a wheelchair and the bartender got us martinis. Rogelio went out of his way to be kind to us even though it was obvious we weren’t hotel guests. Kindness lives on.

What a hotel! If you wanna be in the "middle of it all", this is the place. Esthetically pleasing with a super cool vibe. 24/7 Staff is welcoming regardless of time. Easy check in/check out. Uber is never more than 5 min away. Trolly terminus and "turn" is right outside the front door. Here's one thing you should know. Pickup and drop off is at the BACK DOOR because the front door is on a closed street. So, after 9 the back door is accessible only with a key or someone let's you in. Knocking on the door won't work (hahaha). So if after 9, have your phone handy to call the front desk. They will come let you in. I learned this the hard way. It is a safe area but is kinda "active" after 9 with night street vendors, sidewalk food stands and club activity. Very interesting night culture here. Axiom is LGBTQ+ friendly (as is most of San Francisco), but certainly not uncomfortable for families and traditional couples. I'd highly recommend the hotel as a romantic honeymoon spot.

My husband and I booked this hotel for the night before our wedding at San Francisco city hall. We hadn’t mentioned we were getting married in our reservation but when we told them at check in the staff was so excited for us. We got up to our queen size room and about 5 minutes later got a call that we had been complimentary upgraded! We were so excited and shocked. They moved us to a much larger king room and even brought us some goodies and a handwritten note wishing us a lifetime of happiness. It truly made the experience amazing that they went above and beyond to make our stay special. Huge thanks to Will, Dhali, and Rogelio for their kindness and hospitality! We will never forget it! And hopefully be coming back for anniversary’s for decades to come!
