This is a great hotel located in the old city of Montevideo. Within walking distance to everything that you would want to see and experience. The rooms are big and clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was sufficient. The only complaint was the view from my room looked like ruins (although this didn't impact my experience at the hotel) and the water pressure was low in the shower. I would return.
Positive The location is 100m from the sea. If you are lucky you can actually get room with view towards the sea. The coffee area downstairs has a magical view due to the big windows. The service is wonderful and they are very supportive. NEGATIVE Front desk is not 24/7 - night time they close the doors to enter hotel and open in the morning. ( makes for difficult life having the risk to be left locked outside the hotel) Rooms have a nice kitchen but there is no microwave ( no any other items) - would be nice to have a microwave in the room All in all a nice stay but small improvements would make for an amazing location !
Excellent Upscale Hotel. Our room was well appointed, clean and spacious. Very centrally located to the walking street with restaurants and shops. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Many choices, and cook to order eggs. The staff was friendly and professional. The Lady who manages the place, or maybe she owns it...came out to greet us upon arrival and also referred us to Jolie Bistro. This was the best food we experienced on our visit. Thank you Axsur!
