Ayan Palace Hotel

This supposedly five star hotel operates on an old air conditioning and heating system where only one can operate at a time. So when I stayed on September 21st the air conditioning was off even though it was hot out, making the room very warm and stuffy, and there was nothing that could be done. Fortunately I was leaving after one day, because the sun shining in in the morning made the room temperature intolerable. And also the hotel staff really wasn't friendly. They seemed almost scared.

Very beautiful outside. Value does not respond to reality. But... The room was dusty. There had insects. Very poor breakfast, only cheese, butter, tomatoes and cucumbers. The Internet connection was terrible.....

This is not a 5-star hotel. We could talk at length about the various ways. For one, the thermostats do not do anything. No air conditioning until 9PM! And even then, it only cools to 24 degrees no matter what you set it to. A real 5-star hotel would give you full control of your room temperature. The room was dusty, even the glass cups used for drinking water. The bedsheets were incredibly cheap and scratchy. The garbage can lid was broken. The smoking neighbors' smoke seeped into our room so it constantly smelled like smoke. Some of our friends stayed in a cottage that had an ant infestation and the bathroom smelled like sewage. The breakfast buffet was very small and once something ran out, no more was brought out...even for bread! The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its excellent location. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, though, to experience it.
