Ayana Resort Bali

Had a great stay at the Ayana Resort mainly due to the amazing service from all the staff wherever you went in the resort. It is a very large resort with 3 different properties plus villas and it is incredible how consistent the service is. The main restaurant can get busy during the rush hour breakfast but the quality of the food is high across the resort. It can take a while to get to other places from the resort due to the traffic in the Jimbaran area and you have to take a shuttle bus to the private beach but then again, it has the spectacular Rock Bar to watch the sunsets.

The overall experience was very good, and the resort delivers on that tropical getaway feeling with calm surroundings and lots of nature all around. One of the highlights was definitely the Rock Bar—watching the sunset from there was unforgettable. The view, the atmosphere, and the sound of the waves created a really unique moment. It does get busy around that time, so it’s best to go a bit earlier to get a good seat. The grounds are well maintained, the staff are friendly, and everything was kept clean and organized. There are plenty of quiet corners to relax, and the pools offer a nice mix of family-friendly and adult-only areas. That said, the resort is quite large, and getting around can sometimes take a bit of time (there are shuttle carts available). It’s also worth noting that it leans more towards a luxurious resort vibe, so if you’re looking for a more local or cultural Bali experience, you might want to explore outside the resort as well. Overall: A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy Bali’s natural beauty, especially for a relaxing holiday or romantic trip. Would happily recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful and scenic stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)

⭐️ Stunning location & beautiful grounds ⭐️ Private, peaceful Kubu Beach ⭐️ Infinity pool with ocean views ❌ Poor concierge communication ❌ Ineffective handling of noise complaints ❌ Disappointing food in all restaurants ❌ Uninformed service at the Rock Bar ❌ Crowded, stressful breakfast experience AYANA Resort is undeniably beautiful, set in a stunning location with lush tropical gardens and ocean views. The Kubu Beach is a hidden gem – calm, clean, and perfect for relaxing. We especially loved the infinity pool with a breathtaking view of the ocean, and the overall resort grounds are wonderfully maintained. However, our experience was far from perfect. The concierge service was a major disappointment. We were misinformed multiple times, especially regarding airport transfers, which led to unnecessary stress and last-minute complications. Additionally, we had issues with noise from the room above us, and although we reported it, the response from staff was slow and ineffective. Sadly, the food quality was extremely poor across all the restaurants we tried within the resort. After traveling around Bali for 2 weeks and enjoying amazing cuisine, we were shocked by how bland, oily, and uninspired the dishes were here. At the Rock Bar, our server had no idea about the cocktails on the menu and couldn’t offer any recommendations – quite surprising for such a high-profile venue. Lastly, breakfast was chaotic. Unless you arrive before 8:00 AM, expect long lines, noise, and a rushed experience – not what you would hope for in a 5-star resort. AYANA has incredible potential and beautiful facilities, but sadly, the overall service and food fell well short of expectations.
