Azalea Residences Baguio

Excellent value room and breakfast buffet (Filipino food, mostly) for the price. Whether you have a private vehicle or depend on taxis, the location is pretty good. Just a few hundred meters to the Botanical Garden and a short drive to Session Road. Staff was excellent and I particularly love the spacious hallways. Really made the hotel feel comfy.

Good-value hotel rooms when you’re in Baguio. We stayed at a room with two beds + one sofa bed and a balcony. Very comfy with complete amenities. It got a bit warm in the daytime since it was the peak of summer so it was a good thing we had a balcony and could enjoy the outdoor air. :) Breakfast is at Kuya J in the ground floor. Very good food, delicious hot choco. Been scouring Baguio for hot choco and it’s rare to find one that I actually like. So this is a big plus for me. There is also a souvenir shop with food pasalubongs that are close to local market prices, so it’s convenient to buy there. Staff and service are good.

I could overlook that the room was a center room (no windows facing outside, just the hallways) But it was so musty and dirty Dirt and molds in the bathroom lights Couch was damaged (the armrest was coming off) and smelled horrible (days old sweaty shirt left in the hamper) Walls are thin so you can hear the noise from outside and the neighboring rooms even when they were not being excessively loud Bed and pillow covers had holes The only nice thing I can say about the room was it was fairly spacious Asked for a change room as the mustiness and mold in the center room was excessive and is bad for my asthma and allergies, but no availability at my room type and I definitely wasn’t going to pay more for the same quality of room - just “cleaner”! All the rooms should be clean. Asked for room purifier to be provided instead which at least they did give, and asked for the room to be cleaned - especially the couch. They didn’t really clean so much as spray it but at least they took out the loose couch pillows as I requested. Couch was not repaired though - even temporarily. Buffet breakfast wasn’t any better. Refill of food was slow - if they refilled at all - and quite a few items were dry and/or overcooked. Was in an OL work meeting when front desk called around 9:30AM to “remind” me of the checkout time. Checkout is at NOON. I asked them why they felt the need to call me over two hours before checkout. This made me feel rushed and received no apology from front desk for the disturbance. At check out while waiting for them to check the room, I was calling the driver over to get my things - bellboys were stopping me and telling me to wait at the couch as if I was trying to skip out on my bill (even tho front desk asked me to sign off on my zero balance already) Location is also not great if you want to have walkable choices. You need to have a car with you. Overall a LOUSY experience. Do not recommend for any length of stay. Better to go elsewhere.
