Very tastefully restored old monastery. So quiet, cool and very beautiful atrium. Our room was very big but lacked an extra armchair and a simple waste bin. Otherwise Hotel and breakfast was perfect. The courtyard bar was wonderful in the early evening. Perfect location with the castle dominating the town

DO NOT STAY HERE! We're currently staying here and it's barely a Hostel. And frankly, that's insulting to Hostels everywhere. First, the rooms are hot and the temperature doesn't get fixed with any adjustments to the in room thermostat. Next, Beds are hard and uncomfortable at best. The food at the restaurant is bland and completely not interesting. Considering the fact that we're in Spain, that's saying something. The server at the restaurant, Wilson, was completely disinterested in helping us out and was outright belligerent and furthermore, came across with a "better than you" attitude. Fun bonus: the shower doesn't work and the "maintenance man" is gone for the day so their best solution is to switch us to another room, fantastic isn't it!?

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to express my complaint and deep concern regarding the situation we have encountered. My husband, our daughter, and our friends (a mother and daughter) were planning to attend the DWC competition and had booked a stay at AZZ Penafiel Las Claras from July 6th to July 9th. Unfortunately, shortly before the trip, military actions began in our country. In light of this, we made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the children's participation in the competition. We contacted the hotel to request a cancellation of our reservation, but we did not receive any response. What is even more upsetting is that we were charged twice for the reserved rooms. We have been trying to contact the hotel to understand the reason for this double charge, but we have not received any reply for over a month. We sincerely hope that the AZZ hotel chain values its reputation and will treat its customers with respect by responding to our requests and resolving this issue. We truly hope our trust in you is not misplaced.
