If you can avoid do so! The neighborhood is a good one, close to everything and well communicated. There are other better options near by. The building is old and not a penny has been invested to it since 1970 perhaps, sheets are a disaster, carpet and curtains have no words. That doesn’t show in the photos probably taken back then. The staff is nice but I can’t believe that right on high season the staff is on vacation for the restaurant and they don’t work on weekends because it’s too tiring perhaps… the laziest people I have ever seen, but I guess it’s a reflection of their sad society! Even when they are present or have a phone number they are absolutely impossibilities to help or try or give a hand! Satay away from this place for a few extra buck there is way better!!
My room was filthy. Hair under the blanket, dust everywhere , mold and hair on the bathroom curtain, even a huge spider web behind the door. When I tried to talk to them about it they send me the cleaning ladies that tried to convince me I was crazy and spoke bad about me in their language while they were looking me ironically. I spoke to the manager who came to the room with the cleaning ladies again so I can point out where the dirt was so they can clean it. I really think the word “clean” means different things to us. Do not go there!
UPDATE after the answer from the hotel, i dont know who you are talking about as i did not go up to the reception to ask to change rooms, i did not even know anyone staying in the hotel so you probably mixed something up. I stayed in my allocated room for all 3 nights, so the room i am talking about in the review is the one i got assigned. This places hygiene is a disgrace! Had to stay here as i got it booked as an accommodation by the travel agency for the event i was attending in Brussels. When i stayed here, i found black mold by the windows, ants walking around the apartment and came home with several bug bites on my back! Please stop your service and get a good clean in all of your rooms and bug spray it all before you allow new guests to come in!!!
