Baan Paa Talee Estate

After an easy 40 minutes drive from the airport a greeting from the sincerely friendly staff and the very sophisticated and gentle manager (Benz) relaxed our group of 16 immediately. A quick look at our beautifully appointed rooms and straight into our bathers for a late night dip in the perfectly placed wet edge pool and super warm spa. Then the pre arranged supper and drinks. The extraordinary views upon waking up on the first morning were 180 degrees and breathtaking. The sheer opulence and scale of the building and the multiple entertainment/sitting rooms and areas was surprising. The enormity of the property and hidden sitting areas within the magnificent garden (right down almost to the rocks and sea beyond) felt like a wonderland. As a retired chef I found the quality and broad range of food and meals was another surprise (always extra choices and delicious offerings that we hadn’t expected). The talented chef is also an experienced baker, and she and her assistant work tirelessly and are generous with their serving sizes but also with their time if we wanted to chat about recipes. Another staff member specialises in delicious Thai cake making, but honestly it was her smiling Thai demeanour that won me over. Benz was always available but never intrusive, he organised on site spa treatments and also cars whenever we needed (and the short 10 minutes drive to Patong was easy). The entire friendly team from waiting staff to late night staff were never ‘hovering’ but always available and intuitive - giving the feeling of a home. We hope to return annually if possible. If I could have awarded 10 stars I would have. A simply flawless experience.

A sprawling villa perched on a hilltop with fabulous views. 9 gigantic rooms in the villa with attached bathrooms. There’s also a private pool. The staff at the property are extremely friendly and provide great service! We were about 18 of us celebrating a friend’s 50th birthday. The opulence and the views will blow you away!

Loved the Villa and location . Only complaint was the neighbouring villa had a loud party on one night (which is expected in Phuket) !
