Babohi at Qwabi Private Game Reserve

I needed a safari location that was closest to JHB and landed at Qwabi for the March long weekend. I have alot to say about my stay at Babohi but to keep it brief...I can say it is excellence across the board. We were completely blown away by the location, the accomodation, the incredible hospitality from all staff, the service touch points (attention to detail) received throughout our stay. This is truly a piece of heaven. It was the perfect place to spend my birthday and a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Within hours of arrival, we were already planning the dates for our return. Newmark has an excellent gem here and my wish many people will get to experience Babohi. Places like this make me appreciate South Africa even more and further proof that South African tourism (and safaris) are the absolute best in the world!

Babohi at Qwabi Private Reserve is an extraordinary experience. Set against the stunning hills of the Waterberg, the luxurious lodges offer breathtaking views of the valley. The staff are exceptionally warm and attentive, ensuring every guest feels special—our guide, Sam, made our game drives unforgettable. The property is immaculately maintained, with modern, spacious rooms that feature private plunge pools and well-stocked minibars. The game drives are a highlight, offering close encounters with the Big Five in a serene, private setting. A truly magical and luxurious escape that blends nature with comfort.

Babohi is just a place of its own. I have absolutely nothing to fault. I spent a week with my husband celebrating my birthday, and had booked into their presidential suite. Everything about the suite ticks 5 stars, it is such a detailed beauty with a spectacular view. The service from the entire staff is so good, the food is just so extra-ordinary. We were specifically awes by the service of the lady waitress called Flo - she is such a sweetheart. We also loved our guide, Sam T - he is an entire vibe. He went out of his way to give us an unforgettable experience. And how do I forget the beautiful special birthday lunch setup they made for me by our suite deck. I highly recommend this place, it is everything the internet sold us and more.
