Babylonstoren

This was my first time here, and I was genuinely impressed! I wandered through the various gardens and farming areas—each spot offered great photo opportunities. One highlight was definitely the buffalo milk gelato (so good!). I also loved the farm-to-table focus, with many of the foods and ingredients sourced directly from the grounds. It looks like there are plenty of workshops, activities, and tours offered earlier in the day, too. Tip for first-time visitors: set aside at least 4 hours to fully explore and enjoy everything this place has to offer.

Babylonstoren is absolutely magical. The food is the best I’ve ever had, the wine is fabulous, and the hospitality is 10/10. We are so glad we stayed there and got to do the activities while also exploring the property. You MUST do the Carnivore Night if you are there on a Wednesday! Live music, great food, wonderful vibes! Counting down the days until we can go back!

We spent a full day at Babylonstoren with our little daughter and were absolutely amazed. It’s such a beautiful and well-maintained place – everything feels peaceful, natural, and incredibly well cared for. Walking around the grounds and watching the animals was a real highlight, especially for our daughter. There are lovely shaded spots on the lawn where you can sit back and relax, and the entire venue is perfect for families and nature lovers alike. The restaurant is excellent – the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. We also loved the shop, which offers high-quality local products. We ended up taking home quite a few delicious treats. One of the most unique experiences was being allowed to pick fruit straight from the trees – something truly special. Babylonstoren is a place you won’t forget – a perfect mix of nature, relaxation, and great food. Highly recommended!
