We had a wonderful time at the Backyard Village ! The Turquoise House was a warm and welcoming place after any day spent outdoors in the icelandic winter. I would totally recommand this place to anyone visiting Iceland !
5/5 comfort 5/5 cleanliness 5/5 hosts, and bonus points for the awesome amenities! We had a wonderful stay here last night. The owners are lovely and have created an amazing atmosphere for guests. The cottage was very clean, the beds (even the couch bed!) Were very comfortable, and the heated floors were an amazing extra touch. We enjoyed playing some records on the turn table and got pizza from an amazing local spot, Olverk. There is a laundry machine and dryer available, as well as a lovely hot tub, sauna and fire pit. The cottages are warm, have heated floors and a heated towel rack, record player (and some great records to go with it), have some games and puzzles available, and have pull down curtains for the doors and windows for privacy. We only wish we could've stayed longer!
We occupied the Blue House for a few days and it was a wonderful cosy cottage with all the necessary amenities and more! The warm floor, washing and drier facilities, hot bath and sauna were the cherry on the cake! The beds were comfortable and cosy. It a wonderful place.
