I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Bad Ratzes and can highly recommend it. The hotel's location is simply stunning, nestled between mountains. The wellness area, with its swimming pool and outdoor sauna, invited me to relax. Every dinner was a highlight of my stay: a versatile 4-course menu plus a salad bar that left nothing to be desired. Breakfast was also excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always eager to make the stay as pleasant as possible. I must particularly highlight the hotel management, who personally take care of the guests' needs. Additionally, the hotel organizes excursions, such as to the Seiser Alm, with very competent guide. Overall, an unforgettable stay in a beautiful setting! I would love to visit Hotel Bad Ratzes again in the future.

We've been twice for ski holidays and are booked for a third year. I genuinely love this hotel! It is small enough that you can let your kids roam independently without worrying that they will get lost. It's not a classic family hotel in regards that it has a luxurious feel. The perfect combination of comfort and ambience. The indoor pool is a great distraction for the kids though we never use it more than once or twice a holiday. We come back from skiing and don't see our kids until meal times. They disappear again by the time we've eaten our first course, so we can actually have a lovely 4 course meal without interruptions. The food is very good, the focaccia is to die for. Don't eat it, you'll never enjoy focaccia anywhere else again. We've been in a simple family room and in a suite. We were absolutely happy with both. The owner Petra is super friendly and approachable and is key to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I recommend this place to people who don't have kids but want to go on holiday with friends and family who do. Just to level set expectations: this place has two simple play rooms - however the staff are very hands on and keep the kids occupied and integrated. Most guests are Italian speaking and our kids aren't, yet all kids play together - probably thanks to the ladies. On our first trip our daughter (then 5) took a while to warm up and would come to visit us in the lobby. One of the carers would come and convince her to join them again. So so nice!! The other thing: drinks are not included in the price- but they are very affordable! It is mainly one person working the bar and she ends up quite frantic getting it all done so you may need to wait a bit when it gets busy.
