Badia il Vingone is a magic place. The location is absolutely amazing with an unforgettable view over the Tevere valley. This is a very, very old abbey converted into holiday apartments. The beautiful small (ex-)church makes it an ideal place to celebrate weddings etc. Great swimming pool and huge green areas. Nadia and her crew are gradually improving the facilities, and they are doing a great job! Don't expect the boring and hedonistic luxury of a modern 5 star hotel - in fact, we find this a lot better because this place has history and character (and great value for money). And you don't need airco because at night, as there is always a cooling breeze from the hills. The restaurant is simple but good and the coffee is great. We spent some very relaxing weeks here and will return as many times as we can. Ci vediamo Nadia!
