Baglioni Resort Sardinia The Leading Hotels of the World

Everything was perfect! The service was great, the hotel is beautiful and very clean. The rooms are lovely, big and super clean. The beach is amazing, the food was tasty, and even the car service was very good. We really had a great time. I 100% recommend this hotel! Mirto Restaurant: The service was just amazing! Everyone was kind, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to Giuseppe, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Also, Sandro was so kind and always attentive throughout our visit.

The hotel garden is beautiful, but the rooms are cheaply renovated, the service on the beach is unfriendly and the food is overpriced. Not worth the price. For 1150e/night, your room status gives you a beach chair in the back even though your kids are in the water and the front row has availability 🤯

Having stayed at a Baglioni (not Sardinia), we had high hopes of a wonderful stay. These were, however, quickly dashed by a 45min check in process and matters didn’t improve from there 1) Room: at a €1,000 per night there are some minimum standards one would expect. The bug infestation plagued our stay - we walked into a nest of ants, flying ants at check in and had to call maintenance to put some spray. A one off, we can be sympathetic too but it happened every day and found bugs in our clothes. Management didn’t really care and said “we are in nature”. Yes, it’s true but this isn’t an eco-friendly resort where natural herbicides are endorsed. We had more success with the bugs by purchasing our own spray. Forgot to mention the friendly whip snake that likes to sunbath on the front porch too ! The rooms are extremely basic for a 5* property and run down. Bathroom has mildew, cracked grout and general lack of maintenance. Floors never cleaned and rooms just dusty. 2) Resort: similar theme of lack of upkeep (property dated, pool is nice just lots of weeds around the pool) 3) Beach: Baglioni has its own section on the public beach but prepared to battle with other guests for choice positions or the staff who will judge you first and then decide whether you are worthy to have a sun bed 4) Service: Hit and miss, i.e. some good staff around but most just walk around doing the bare minimum. 5) Ordered food at the bar. We expected a bit better food given the price point. 30 euro burgers and a 26 euro salad that had wilted lettuce and looked like it was sitting out. On top of that, they gave us a bread basket with rock hard bread and stale crackers. Once again, for this high price point, we expect better. Overall for the hefty price point, a lot left to be desired. Sardinia is not a cheap place and relies on pricy tourism but Baglioni Sardinia is riding on its brand reputation. Better resorts and locations where you don’t feel part of a “shake down”.
