What an absolutely stunning house. It's a converted manor house, in which they've got a good selection of rooms and suites for everyone. The rooms are smart, spacious, and just plain awesome. The lounge area is nice to relax in and the view from the garden over the village is sublime. Good location to town and plenty of parking. Would recommend for anyone who wants a fabulous stay in the country.

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was an ideal location. Up a hill so there were stunning views across the town to the green hills beyond but convenient for walking into town to eat in the evening. The room itself was a reasonable size with both wardrobe space and drawers for clothes, the fridge and kitchenette was adequate (we only used it for breakfast and making tea/coffee) and the bath with shower over was appreciated. The mattress on the bed may need replacing soon as we could feel the springs but we slept ok.

Booked after reading all the wonderful reviews and seeing stunning pictures of the rooms. Sadly we didn’t have such room. We were led to the back of the house into the basement where we our entrance door was covered with ply board. With the entrance window covered with ply - naturally we didn’t not feel safe during our stay and spent as little time as possible in the room during our stay. It is definitely not a room worth paying £170 per night!!! Which I was demanded to sign for authorisation on arrival despite the money already being taken from my bank account. Being underground we didn’t have the light airy rooms showcased in the description. Booking.com also did not state clearly these were apartments, as at the time of booking I always use the “hotel”filter. This property should be listed on Booking.com in the title as self catering apartments. I’m sure if you don’t end up with the dungeon room with broken window then I’m sure your stay will be delightful, however this was a bitterly disappointing trip. I had a second trip planned later in the year, which I have requested my companion to cancel. I would not return. This is a complete and honest review. I note that the owner of this establishment has responded to other reviews that are not five star quite negatively when they share honest experiences. I would recommend they take on the constructive feedback. With this room in particular - fix the window on the door at the very least!!!!! I’m not interested in a response to this review from anyone at this establishment. UPDATED Following on from the venues response. Please be clear we absolutely did NOT get advised why there was ply board on the window. ABSOLUTELY DID not. Nor were we told anything about the easy access for anyone who was not staying being able to get into the garden!!!
