Bahia Mar Ft. Lauderdale Beach a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

I had a fantastic experience staying at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach – a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and enjoyable. The location is perfect—right across from the beach with beautiful views and easy access to the sand and ocean. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional customer service I received from a beach attendant named Juan. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing beach day. He was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making my experience enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone so attentive and helpful—Juan truly made a great impression! The amenities at the hotel were also great, and I appreciated the signature warm DoubleTree cookie upon arrival. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale—especially if you get the chance to be looked after by Juan on the beach!

we truly loved our stay at Bahia mar. There is so much character and charm. We loved the service and all of the extra touches in the room, the pool and the beach towels was already in the room for us we didn't have to go asked for any beach towels and we have a Bahia mar bag that the beach towels were on with 2 bottles of water. that really put it over the top. plus, the toilet amenities look very nice like a VIP room We enjoyed breakfast, and room with a comfortable bed of course! Wonderful housekeeping! We will be back!

My spouse and I stayed here for a night before cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. It was fine for our 18-hour stay but I would not book it again, especially for a longer stay. Pros: Room was clean. Bed was comfy. A/C worked fantastically. The cookies at check-in were good. Easy beach access. Right next to Marina Village with restaurants and bars. On the water taxi route. Cons: -I booked a marina view room. See the photo for what constituted our “marina view”. (Room 227.) If I were staying longer, I definitely would have asked to be moved. -Hotel is VERY dated, especially in the hallways and common areas. The rooms seem to be more recently renovated but the rest of our building was really showing its age. -Mildewy smell in the hallways. -Push button toilets are an accessibility nightmare. (See photo.) If you have mobility issues in your hands or fingers, or even just long fingernails, flushing the toilet will be a task. -Turning the shower on and off is frustrating as well. To turn the water on, you have to pull very hard on the knob which again, is cheap at best and inaccessible at worst. Ultimately if you just need a comfy place to sleep and bathe near FLL, this hotel will work fine. But you could probably spend just a little more money and get a better experience at other properties nearby.
