5 Stars – An Unforgettable Experience at Luxury Akumal From the moment we arrived, Luxury Akumal exceeded every expectation. The environment is absolutely stunning—lush, serene, and beautifully maintained. The service was impeccable: attentive, personalized, and always delivered with a warm smile. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, or restaurant team, everyone made us feel like truly honored guests. Miguel from guest services was exceptional. He checked in on us regularly and with genuine care. His hospitality, along with the warmth of the entire staff, made our stay feel not just luxurious, but deeply welcoming. If you’re a tennis player—or hoping to become one—Daniel is an incredible tennis coach. No matter your skill level, his lessons are both fun and instructive. They were also a great way to meet and connect with other resort guests. If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and be treated with five-star care, Luxury Akumal is it. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bahia Principle Akumal. The staff in every area has been amazing: all are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and do their absolute best to ensure guests are having a great experience. I speak very little Spanish, however all speak very fluent English; and have been very accommodating with my family doing our best to speak Spanish (even when they are busy, and could easily answer in English!). The food is all restaurants was amazing. The chef teams work incredibly hard, and the servers are equally as hard working to ensure your food is ordered, and that your glass is always topped up. I would highly recommend the hotel to others

Upon arrival Miguel was extremely helpful and was great to help us out whenever we needed it! We chose the adult area to hang out and it was as nice escape from the loud and noisy areas as we were in search of peace and quiet. Also bar service is great in this area. Unfortunately we are in seaweed season so we couldn’t enjoy the beach as much but that’s a natural occurrence and you can’t help that! The infinity pool was our favourite - especially being able to catch the breast and view the ocean. All pools are clean and lovely. Just too hot to sit around in the lower areas - although we saw lots of people enjoying anyway. All the staff proved to be very helpful and so friendly and kind! We have really enjoyed all the a la carte restaurants! All excellent and the taste is amazing. The buffet on site as well as the smaller luncheon places provided much choice and healthy options. If you have any food allergies all staff are very attentive to this and make sure you are safe and free of allergens in your food. You don’t walk away hungry anywhere! The breakfast buffet in the main restaurant will set you up for the day and the staff there are so attentive to your needs! The shows we chose to see were all entertaining and wonderful!
