The staff was excellent in all areas. Jeremias was always willing to help if I had an issue. There are too many to name, but I want to highlight that the service was really good. They all need raises because they work so hard and do their jobs with a smile and pleasant disposition. The resort is lovely and I appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms. My family travelled together and we were 2 adults and 2 kids. The cocktails were really good too.

Beautiful hotel, but one detail disturbed the peace. Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda is a truly beautiful and well-maintained property. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is outstanding, and the overall service from the staff is absolutely immaculate. You can feel the care in every corner. The buffet is also delicious, with many options and great quality. However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of a recurring issue that deeply impacted my experience: the housekeeping staff speaks and shouts across the hallways while cleaning, rather than walking over to communicate quietly with each other. This might seem like a small detail, but when you’re in a hotel of this category — and guests are paying for peace, beauty, and serenity — this matters. Every family here is going through something different. Some are celebrating, others are healing. Some just went through a breakup. Some came here to find space, silence, or even to spend what could be a last trip with a loved one. Not everyone is here for noise or crowds — many come to reconnect, restore, and breathe. And so, that sacred silence that guests travel across countries to find, deserves to be respected. I hope this message is received with love, as a suggestion to elevate the experience even more. Because the rest of it… was divine.

I recently visited Bahia Principe in Punta Cana, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Initially, we were placed in the Turquesa section, where the room had multiple issues: it was full of bugs, the faucet was broken, the light didn’t work, and overall it felt run-down. We decided to pay for an upgrade to Esmeralda, hoping for a better experience. While the room at Esmeralda was decent, the overall facility left a lot to be desired. The buffet restaurants are outside near the water, and it’s extremely hot, making it uncomfortable and, frankly, not very sanitary to enjoy a meal. The food options were limited, and my kids didn’t find much they liked. There was barely any fruit or variety, and the heat just made it worse. To top it off, even simple amenities like getting a coffee were a hassle. At 6:45 in the morning, I couldn’t even get a coffee because they control the times and don’t have machines available. For a place labeled as “Luxury,” it did not live up to the name, and the extra money we paid for the upgrade felt wasted. Overall, this was a very poor experience. It was my first and last trip to Punta Cana, and next time I’ll stick with Mexico or Europe. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
