Bail House Hotel

My expectations were low given all the poor reviews online. VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE! Brilliant location, literally a few steps to the Cathedral, castle and all the great shops, bars and restaurants in "Uphill Lincoln". High quality, well appointed and very clean room (number 9) with a particularly comfortable four poster bed and a decent private bathroom. Only one criticism - we were told via email that parking was £5 per night then were charged £10. Room was "bed and breakfast" according to our booking (again also obviously in writing via email) but definitely no breakfast available. At this price and taking the location into account we couldn't complain. Room and location absolutely brilliant. Off site misleading service could be improved.

Absolutely amazing anniversary weekend stay, comfy bed, large rooms. Perfect location. Only issue we had, stains on the curtains and bathroom in need of decorating. Nothing major at all.

When first arriving we rang up thw Hotel to ask which door we needed to enter our door code to gain access into, Once we did that. We could not have been more entertained & surprised at the layout of the Hotel. It had plenty of querks, We had our keys & all the information on the door codes, directions to our room & checkout times. There was such a lovely homefelt atmosphere. Almost like visiting a grandparents for the weekend. Loved how it hasnt modernised itself & stayed to the old style. Never had a more relaxed night sleep, quiet surroundings & a comfortable enviroment throughout. We loved the price for the room and being so close to the cathedral aswell as lovely little tea rooms & eateries.. Were coming back at the end of the month for another stay & we cant look forward to it more.
