An absolute gem of a spa/hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend spending a few nights here. The spa, treatments and food have been outstanding and staff, very friendly and accommodating. A small issue with our room was expertly and quickly resolved by Andrew. Many thanks for looking after us, and we look forward to returning with our dog! The Pipers

It is lovely but a few things could do with tightening up. Call me demanding but I was not impressed with: - the wifi being patchy or non-existent in my room and in the dining room. - the bill invoicing me for a meal I had already paid for. - being asked over and over again whether my meal was all right. During a three-course meal, once or twice is fine. Four times plus is just irritating. - the plastic floor of the shower that was diabolically slippery when wet. It would also be nice if they noticed that I had been there quite a few times over the years and so did not ask, "Is this your first time here?" The buildings, the decor and the food are all very good so it is a pity.

The hotel aesthetically is lovely but there’s so many things that fall down. - First of all, there is no WiFi in the rooms. Multiple guests were complaining that they were unable to get WiFi. There is also barely any service so you’re effectively off the grid. - The treatments were amazing and incredibly relaxing but come at a steep price £170 for 85 minutes. - The service was impeccable and the staff catered to our every request. Little touches really made us smile. - The food was good but the restaurant lacked a certain “buzz” or atmosphere. Most likely due to the size of the room vs number of guests. - Close proximity to the beach allowed us to have a beautiful sunset walk along the south coast. Unfortunately on our last day (day of check out), there was a power cut. This meant no cooked breakfast for guests and for some no tea and coffee. This also meant due to the health and safety aspects of having no lights, the spa was out of action. We had been told by the staff that the manager would sort this out with us, however no one spoke to us at breakfast or at check out… we left early to go home and at no point offered any compensation or small gesture for the fact that we essentially missed out on a day of spa.
