I don't like putting negative reviews, so won't put it this time either. Hotel is truly good - facilities, food, etc, maybe only location is not so convenient. Staying here 5 years ago I was greatly impressed by level of service personnel was providing, however, now staying here for the second time, about the service I would say the following: the personnel are trying, it is visible, but in my opinion they lack training and approach. Appears to me that over the years standards of service has fallen. It needs to improve. Would i recommend the hotel - yes, i would anyway.
Very Good busy Business hotel .... Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.. Rooms are good, can have ocean view rooms if available. ..Breakfast are complimentary and lots of varieties of food available to choose from. Live Omelet / egg counter available. But there was some very unpleasant cigarette smoking smell along the alleyway on the first day ...
I understand it’s Marriott, but I was shocked by how poor the service was. I’ve seen many foreign guests staying here, so I had higher expectations. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready, and we had to wait for an hour with our family and kids after an exhausting 3-hour drive from Gabala. The room itself was decent, but some aspects were disappointing. The in-room telephone looked like something from the early '90s—completely outdated. Room service was equally frustrating. On one occasion, I requested an extra pillow and blanket, called both reception and room service multiple times, but no one responded. Eventually, I had to go down to reception myself, and even then it took 10 minutes. What shocked me the most was seeing the housekeeping staff use a used bath towel—one we had already used—to wipe the bathroom floor. That’s completely unacceptable and unhygienic. Truly disappointing and not what I expected from a hotel of this reputation. The only thing is good was the Breakfast.
