This is not a 5-star hotel – it doesn’t even meet the standards of a 2-star one! The rooms are small, the furniture and plumbing look worn out, the sink is leaking, and there’s a sewage smell in the bathroom. The double bed actually has two single mattresses that constantly slide apart. All the staff, except for a young man at the reception, were extremely rude – both to us and to other guests. On several occasions, we overheard staff talking rudely about guests, especially foreigners. Instead of a proper restaurant, the hotel has a bar with just a few tables. The menu is handwritten in Georgian – no prices, no translation, nothing. There are about 8–10 items on the menu, mostly fast food – burgers, fries, nuggets. Since there were no other options, we ordered two burgers, nuggets, a beer, and a lemonade – the bill came to 150 GEL (about $50). I could go on listing the downsides of this place – but in short, I definitely do not recommend staying here. The only positive thing was the location – slightly away from the city, surrounded by greenery, with a beautiful mountain view at the entrance.
It is a lovely location. Female reception staff member was rude. The hotel is not more than a 2 or 3 star level. They should not advertise as a 5 star hotel as this leads to a lot of expectations and then disappointment. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are very basic with heavily worn furniture and poor standards of cleanliness (I found strands of hair from the previous guest on the pillows and bedding). The walls are thin, allowing noise from other guests to emanate from the corridors as well as the balconies above and below. If you lose your room key, they charge a 20 Lari fine. Finally, the refrigerator does not seem to work, somehow it warms the food items inside!
Worst hotel in Bakuriani. Off the main road nothing nearby so u are totally depend on hotel facilities which are worst. Very uncomfortable beds and unsupportive staff. May be they are bit racist towards Indians I would advise fellow Indians to avoid this hotel. They mentioned bar and restaurants open till 11 pm and they handed over a paper also mentioning it at the time of check in but after check in at 10.05 pm when we called room service for some drinks they said come to bar to see the menu. When we went there, they said the bar is closed at 10.08 PM ?? There was 3 staff available and lot of people were drinking and eating but they refused to serve us ?? So beware of these people before you even think to stay at this property.
