Balboa Bay Resort

Had an amazing one-night stay at Balboa Bay Resort for a conference. The room was super comfortable and even came with a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a great surprise. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and I had some nice relaxing time at the pool too. Big shoutout to Lucia, our Room Attendant, she was incredibly helpful and kind. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We love staying here. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in the Newport Beach area. Our room was excellent: Well appointed, very comfortable mattresses, extremely quiet, we slept like babies. The staff here could not be more helpful or more friendly. At least as good, actually better than Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons. Ted the concierge, is the best -he made our stay so fantastic. We would come back here anytime and look forward to doing so!

Read your invoices carefully. I read others' warning unfortunately too late. We too were charged unfairly for a dinner we never had. The resort was fine and clean but we don't appreciated the unpleasant surprise of unexpected charges as we were leaving. For me it ruined my stay. It's been a week and I am still being charged for an in-room dining (at a time while I was in the pool). They "investigated' for a whole week and procured abill with our room number and a very flat signature. That is their proof. Which is not a proof. Someone clearly messed up or someone just gave our room number. Anyways, I am not happy. It's not about the amount of the charge but the experience.
