Balcary Bay Country House Hotel

Just home from a surprise night away at the Balcary Bay Hotel and it exceeded all of my expectations, from the moment we arrived we were treated so warmly and courteously we were early but our room was ready and so we got checked in. The room was so spacious, bright, clean and welcoming with patio doors leading onto the gardens and down onto the bay which was great for a wild swim. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was all delicious, not a bad thing to say and we will definitely return for a longer stay again

We were in room 3 and it had the most amazing ocean view, the management and staff were incredible and the food was spectacular! We loved that they were dog friendly, clean beach, quiet area. Wonderful stay, definitely will be back to stay again!

My wife and I where over in in the Balcary bay country house hotel for an afternoon coffee which was beautiful and the scenery breath taking. Upon arrival no one was at the desk to welcome us or advise us of any guidelines regarding parking as we had never been there before. We walk on into the bar where we where served coffee and pastries, which were beautiful presented and very tasty indeed. We paid an went on our way on our holidays. When we returned home we where greeted by A FINE FOR £100 OR £60 IF PAID WITHIN 14 DAYS. We were never told of any need to fill in form or we would have, to keep everything right. So thank you for ruining our holiday especially as it was our first holiday since my cancer recovery. PERSONALLY I WOULD NO RECOMNEND THIS HOTEL. I have paid the fine after a failed appeal. A very disappointed person who never writes reviews like this. UPDATE : We have been offered a free meal by Balcary bay country house hotel, while generous this is of very little compensation due to fact I am still out £60 because of a fine due to the fact nobody was there to guide or instruct us.
