Balneario Valle del Jerte

The hotel is one of the few in the area. We came there for a wedding. The hotel itself is not bad, it looks quite nice from outside. The room is ok, it has everything you need. The shower pressure is great. The AC works, it was not great that it was directed at the bed rather than into the room. The hairdryer is not very powerful. We were however quite disappointed with the breakfast. Very few options and everything is processed and nothing feels like it is freshly made but rather pre-packed food warmed up. I don’t recommend it. The service on some things is great. Like when we needed an iron they brought it quickly, however without ironing board. When we asked to please book a cab, they did not do it but just gave us a number to call, which I think would be an issue for non-spanish speaking guests as no cab driver speaks English. Additionally, it gets very hot in the area and there was no covered parking available. We did not get the chance to try the SPA or any other amenities Overall, I would recommend the hotel just for sleeping there for 1-2 days.

Our room was very nice at first glance. The terrace was a very good size. However, one of the four pillow cases was dirty and the TV was the size of about a 22" computer monitor. Luckily we didn't care much about watching TV, but it was noticeably small. There was hardly any pressure in the bathroom in neither the shower or the toilet. The food was good but not excellent. The main dinner was served warm, not hot as it should be. It was buffet only. The grounds are beautiful. The mineral baths had much to be desired. The water was lukewarm. The jacuzzi was always full to capacity (2 people) so we never got a chance to try it. The worst part of all that was a group of squealing, running wild, teenage girls. So much for trying to relax. That didn't happen and we didn't even want to stay our allotted time slot. There was no air-conditioning and the room was hot! The staff at the front desk were very nice. We won't be returning to this hotel. We did report our complaints to the front desk so maybe it's better now.

To be honest I had an amazing first impression, the hotel looked amazing and it was really beautiful, but once I got to the room and has dinner there were a lot of noticeable problems. First off the bathroom in our bedroom was very dirty, there were hairs all over the floor, also in the bathtub, there was just crap everywhere, I don't really recommend this hotel unless you have no other choice.... service needs improvement and I doubt this hotel deserves 4 stars
