Baltic Sands

We stayed in Room 31 and it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The large balcony area was also great when the weather permits. The staircase can also be closed off if you have small kids and don't want them fall down. Parking area is also nice but you'll need to contact reception to open the boom.

Cozy small hotel. Great location - it is in walking proximity both to the city beach and restaurants and right on the route to the open Baltic sea beach. Would be nice to get extra towels though.

Difficult to rate this one as there are plenty of good things but a couple of minutes. So I'll start with the plusses. Great location just a couple of minutes from the beach and a fee metres from the main street. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very clean and fresh, plenty of room for 2 (but we had booked a "suite") and the separate living area was a must. On the downside, it wasn't a massive space and the photos on the site we used are a bit misleading as it was difficult to match a photo to the room we had booked. I guess though the biggest negative was the lack of a food prep area so any hope of being able to eat anything other that very basic stuff in the place was almost impossible. We had to wash up in the bathroom sink, far from ideal, and there was only very basic crockery (1 bowl, 1 large plate, 3 small plates, 4 cups/saucers and some knifes/forks. ) We did have a big table in the living area, but didn't use it. Perhaps they could reorientate the room, smaller table and put a prep area with small sink in. All that said very comfortable place, friendly staff and not a bad base for a stay in Hel.
