Front desk was super helpful. He gave us great suggestions. Very friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping however was banging on my door before 10 when check out is 11. She kept banging on the door til we opened it. Can't beat the location! We came for an Orioles game.
The service was lovely, but this hotel is in desperate need of so many things. We were part of a larger group. All saw roaches. Several had issues with their room doors locking securely. There was lots of late night noise and disturbances. The decor in the rooms is severely outdated with mismatched beaten up furniture. We had a reservation for 4 nights. Only made it through 1.
Marriott needs to invest in this property. The staff were lovely, and it’s an insult to them to have the facilities looking the way they did. All of the furniture in my room (dressers, desk, etc) were scratched up. Some of the drawers would only open if I lifted up and angled them a certain way. The roaches were gross, saw them in and around the elevator. My bedroom door would only close if I forced it shut. For instance, if you just walked into the room and let the door close behind you, trusting that it would close, it would not. The desk chair was broken, whenever I sat in it, I would recline all the way back and I couldn’t fix it. The area also gets lots of transient folks meandering around, and there is just kind of this unsafe vibe in the air, especially at night. Not the kind of area you want to be walking home from bar by yourself late at night, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the area. For the price, fine, I could see how someone could live with this hotel. But until Marriott puts the money into this property that it so desperately needs, you won’t see me here again.
